"I had a wonderful, and far too brief, stay here! The location is off the beaten path, but the views are fantastic. Had the weather cooperated, it would be perfect for Northern Lights! "The location was stunning with the ocean on one side and the volcano on the other side. Very quiet and tiny village with a couple great restaurants/coffee shop. Within walking distance to the trail head of the Hellnar-Arnarstapi hike. The cottage was cozy and the beds comfy. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!"

"We were very comfortable in this beautiful home outside of Borgarnes. Away from the city lights, we were able to relax and enjoy the northern lights from the comfort of the hot tub! The home is in a great location for exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and is well appointed with everything we needed! The hosts are very responsive and communicated promptly when I had a question. Would come back and stay in this lovely home!"

"My wife and I spent four nights in this duplex cottage in the town of Hellnar on the Snaefellsbaer Peninsula. We were greeted by an amazing display of the Northern Lights on our first night. The place was comfortable and quiet and had all the amenities needed to feel like home for a few days. The views are stunning--the sea in one direction and mountains and the volcano that dominates the west end of the peninsula in the other. There are several little places to eat within a 5-10 minutes...

"We had a wonderful time staying 4 nights in this unique home on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. It was very cozy, even with cold winds outside. The kitchen is small, but well-equipped. This worked fine for our group of 3, as we only made breakfast there. The beds were comfortable, and there are light darkening shades on the bedroom windows. The staircase to the second floor is steep, but we were careful and had no incidents.It was a great base from which to access the sights."

"We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"We rented both houses Bakki and Holt for our extended family. It was perfect. They are connected by a quick path through the woods. Great location outside of town but close enough for easy access to grocery stores and liquor store. We used this as a base to explore Snæfellsnes peninsula. Farther out on the peninsula quickly becomes very empty and hard to restock. "

"Life on a horse farm, with beautiful Icelandic show horses, was terrific. Fully appointed kitchen and outdoor grill meant we could cook up a storm and grill some tender lamb for dinner. The owners were welcoming and the horses were gentle and beautiful. Location was perfect for the Gerduberg basalt cliffs and the gorgeous coastal hike from Arnastapi to Hellnar on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Four adults were comfortable sharing the cottage."
