"This is a difficult rating. Very clean place, friendly. Great location, close to Airport, close to down town Machico. Machico even has a sand beach. Had a nice breakfast room with a filling cold breakfast. Room was a a little small. The biggest problem was the shower drain was very slow, and shower head push out a large amount of water, ended up flooding the bathroom a couple times. Ran out of hot water one day, may have been due to three toung women that just arrived. Only happened...

"The property was very dated and in need of refurbishing,the bathroom definitely needs replacing . However the accommodation was clean . "We have just returned from a short break to Madeira and had a lovely stay. John the owner is a lovely gentleman and his son Alberto made us very welcome. The hotel is very central and only a five minute walk to the cable car, buses and restaurants. Although the hotel is dated decor wise it is spotlessly clean. We had the breakfast and the Madeira breakfast rolls are delicious, the breakfast is great value. We will return to this hotel. Thanks John and your family for a lovely trip! "
