"This is a fabulous place to stay! The front desk staff had a great sense of humor & explained everything very well. The ‘family’ room for 3 was very clean, comfortable, and looked new! Small balcony was a treat. A bottle of water provided was a nice touch. The restaurant food was delicious & the wait staff was nice. Although the hostess reprimanded me for not telling her we were hotel guests (in order to get the discount on our meal) but I had already told that to the person I saw first, which was our waiter. We appreciated the discount as the meal prices aren’t cheap. The morning breakfast was excellent! A great variety of food, nutritious & delicious. So different from many hotel breakfasts in the USA. It was a short walk to the train station. Overall I would highly recommend the Hotel Derby! "

"An unbeatable view with Matterhorn day and night. Very spacious and comfort room. Nice staff. Location is a bit far from train station but it is acceptable as just walk along the Main Street of Zermatt for shopping."

"This is a wonderful modern hotel. The room was great, great views. Friendly staff. An awesome wellness area. Great dinners and the breakfast was amazing. They will pick you up and take you to the train station for a fee. Easy to get there by taking the gondola to Furi and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Would love to go again!!"
