"We absolutely loved our stay at Heima Holiday Homes. The property was beautiful and modern, with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—even the sofa bed! Our only wish was for a microwave. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our stay, so we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights. However, I can tell that on a clear night, this would be the perfect place to watch them. One of the highlights of our visit was being warmly greeted by their lovely dogs, Moi and Katla, every morning and whenever we arrived. It made our stay even more special! 💖"

"Lovely hotel - doesn't look that impressive from the approach road, but lovely inside - the dining room is particularly nice with large windows looking over the valley. Excellent location as very close to Gullfoss - around 5 minutes drive. Staff were lovely at reception and in the restaurant. Food - both dinner and breakfast - were very good, with a good selection at breakfast. Room was nice - twin beds as requested, clean and warm and with a nice view over the valley. I stupidly left my Kindle behind and have since been liaising with the hotel who are going to mail it back to me - very kind! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. "

"The staff were very friendly! Signage was easy to follow. The cottage was very spacious and had a great view. We had a cat visitor during our stay. They have a hot tub which was clean and easy to access. Overall great experience and value!"

"A fantastic place to stay, and a brilliant base for the sights of south Iceland. Friendly staff and the room itself had everything you could need for the price, plus a little bit more. Had to use the spare duvet as a pillow, as I like a firm pillow, but that's more personal preference."

"This is a very quiet property, and each "little house" is set so that you have privacy. The interior is very small - perfect for a couple or a couple with a small child - but we did end up putting our suitcases back in the car so we'd have a little more floor space. Check-in (and out) was easy. The house has a great view of the valley. We were hoping for clear night skies (which we did not have, but definitely not an issue of the property. Our rooms did look out over the tomato farm's greenhouses, so if that view is not acceptable, please be sure to check with the property hosts. "
