We felt there was good privacy, and the setting was nice for viewing the aurora (too bad we had heavy cloud cover while we were there). "We absolutely loved our stay at Heima Holiday Homes. The property was beautiful and modern, with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—even the sofa bed! "Cozy wooden cabins in a nice location and a delicious breakfast. One thing to note is that cabins are joined in a longer house and are thus not soundproof - we could hear our fellow travelers talking, snoring, using the bathroom etc. The farm is now building another series of such cabins - perhaps they can take note of this issue especially for bathrooms - not nice to have to listen to your neighbor urinating when you are enjoying a glass of prosecco after relaxing in a nearby spa (Fontana)"

"We spent 3 nights at this cottage for exploring parts of the Golden Circle. The cottage was a perfect home away from home. It had the necessary amenities needed for a comfortable stay. "Very clean and spacious room, even though I booked a single room. Bathroom was lovely, lovely shower, and local Icelandic shower gel which smells incredible! Great coffee/tea machine that you can help yourself to 24/7, great for those times when you need to be awake at 2am for an Aurora run. Lovely views of Laugarvatn lake and beautiful mountains on the other side. Great location in the golden circle close to Friðheimar tomato farm, Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Brúarfoss to name a few....

"So cozy and special! Our night was cloudy, but still felt very much a part of the nature around us, and we loved seeing the sunrise. (We learned throughout our trip that the aurora is fickle, so don't expect to see, but we thought this bubble was worth it anyway.) Felt private from the rest of the property. Well-heated--the heated blanket kept the space warm while it was chilly outside in March. Be careful with food in the space, since you're still out in the forest--we woke up to signs of nibbles on our snacks. Highly recommended!!"
