"Great place to stay! Easy access to different must-go places. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Except for the breakfast buffet which end at 9:30. When it says 9:30, it means that everyone needs to leave at that time. We were obviously not aware of that and kept working on what’s left in our plates when one man seemed like a manager came with a raised voice saying “Out, out!” Guess that’s the culture difference."

"The room was beautiful, the onsen tubs were gorgeous and there were so many options for tubs. The dinner buffet was the best I've had at a hotel. My only disappoinment was trying to buy gifts from the shop onsite. I didn't realize they close at 11am. So with my hands full of items, they informed me the shop was closing. They did not offer to check me out or direct me to a register, just out of the shop. So I put all my items away and walked out, but I really wanted those items!"

"This was a pretty nice ryokan/onsen. Positives: The staff were friendly, and they even had a reserved shuttle bus that will take you from the hotel to New Chitose Airport. The dinner and breakfast buffet was also great because they tried to serve local Sapporo/Hokkaido delicacies. Like, we were able to do our own gengiskhan lamb cooktop for our buffet dinner (which is only found mainly in Hokkaido). Negatives: it was so crowded! "A really pleasant hotel close to lake Toya. The traditional Japanese room was excellent to experience and the onsen with its both indoor and outdoor baths were phenomenal. There were other amenities such as free bike rentals to take advantage of. The breakfast buffet offered here was superb and there were a few options for restaurants in the area to walk to in the evenings."
