"It was a great secluded location, not far off the main road. Room was like a one bedroom apartment almost. Value was excellent. We had an end room, with fireplace, big common area back rocking chair porch. It had an efficiency kitchen with table and chairs. Large bathroom, updated walkin shower and a jacuzzi tub with another shower. I would only suggest freshing up the decor. Ditch the dated (but not dirty)gold carpet for lvp flooring first! Furniture was nice mohagany and with a freshing up...

"Stayed at this property numerous times over the years. They’ve made wonderful updates and it truly feels like a mountain lodge with an amazing bar and gorgeous seating area. The restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to try it. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet escape to a truly charming inn. "

"Historic, over 100 years old, and former high school, this is an interesting stay that takes you back to that prior generations' feeling. The positives were a comfortable bed, clean, good breakfast, and the sole negative was it was cold on the interior (cold outside) with no available blanket and no ability to increase heat in the room."
