The cabin on Yellow Mountain is an adorable, beautifully decorated place that met our needs perfectly. In town for a wedding, but wished we booked longer just so we could chill on the front porch or do some hiking in the beautiful NC mountains. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
We stayed here one night and the cabin was really nice. Checkin was super easy ss was checkout! Definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a nice cabin to spend time w family or friends.
My wife and I were looking for a quick trip to get away for the weekend and just relax. The Cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. The rocking chairs on the back porch are the perfect cure for whatever ails you.
The cabin is remote, but its just a short drive to both Highlands and Cashiers. Lastly, the cleanliness of the cabin was great. We are already looking forward to returning when we can stay longer.
The Yellow Mountain cabin was perfect for our trip. well appointed and easy to get to. well located between Highlands and Cashiers. Clean accommodations, well built, and communication with property owners was good. Will surely rent this again when staying in the area.
Cute place to stay with great access to nearby attractions.
We enjoyed our stay. Great home and absolutely beautiful area.
Well furnished kitchen but it is small so I wouldn’t plan any extravagant meals.
Awesome porch. Comfortable master bed.
Comfortable and Cute Cabin in Beautiful Surroundings
Loved this place! Very clean and comfortable, decorated cute, and in great surroundings. Very peaceful and serene. Enjoyed seeing the horses on the nearby farm grazing in the morning. The rockers on the covered back porch were a great place to drink morning coffee and gaze out at the woods. Wish we could've stayed longer.
Family members from Georgia and North Carolina met at this cabin for our Thanksgiving gathering since it was centrally located for all of us. Though the kitchen was much smaller than we expected, it ended up working out great and we thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. The host was excellent and worked with us for early check-in on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you to Joy and to her housekeeping service for making our family gathering possible. We look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to others.
We (my wife and two grown children) decided to meet somewhere central for Christmas and we chose Yellow Mountain Cabin. We're glad we did. We all enjoyed ourselves in the relaxing and tranquil location. The cabin was clean and well-appointed, and accurately described in the listing. Would love to see it in the summertime, so look forward to going back in the future. The owner was quick to respond to any emails.
We have had property up here for many years but are under construction with a new home. I've been bye this cabin dozens of times over the years but never saw it because it is secluded. What a great find! Charming well appointed cabin with neat history and a beautiful 100 year old stone fireplace I only WISH I could duplicate. At the rate our construction is going I'm sure we will be back! (One of my wife's favorites!) Highly recommend.
I want to tell everyone about this place but also want to keep it a secret. The pics do not do it justice it is cozy quint and the perfect place to get away from it all. Pure relaxation after Christmas. When we book houses I usually want to stay out and about. With the cabin I was looking forward to getting back putting on a fire and making dinner with a glass of wine. It’s small but not too small. We have a 12 year old and 14 year old who had their own rooms to disappear to when they needed space. We will definitely be back!
We live the location in the woods and across the street from a picturesque barn and horses. The den area was comfortable and table large enough for a family’s to enjoy meals together. The kitchen is small but functional. Only thing that stood out was no door to the downstairs bedroom facing the hall and when the light was on in the kitchen or den area it it was bright and a little noisy when someone was in the kitchen or bathroom downstairs
Unfortunately, on the day of our arrival, we were hit by a new driver about 5 miles from this beautiful cabin. Our car was totaled, and we spent most of our two day stay trying to get a rental so we could get home. That said, the cabin provided a place to collect ourselves, the primary bed creating a haven to recover from the shock and bruises of the accident, and a a base to relax. The cabin is SO cute and lovely in every way. The only surprise that I would mention is the that primary bedroom does not have a door. This surprised us, and for those that are highly private, it might be a concern. Absolutely loved out stay and am grateful for the mountain scenery and fresh air.
We absolutely loved our stay at Yellow Mountain Cabin. It was perfectly situated near everyone we wanted to do and was easy to get in and out of (as in, no 4-wheel drive required). The cabin itself is very unique and special. I wouldn't exactly call it rustic, though it does look that way from the outside. The inside was cozy and comfortable for me, my husband, our six and two year olds. We will definitely be coming back.
A few things to note just because people can be particular and I would hate for someone to come and have a bad time because they didn't know: first, the bathrooms are *very* small. No bathtub, just a single person shower stall with tiny sinks that are a little low to the ground. Also the kitchen is very small, it is very well appointed and has literally everything you could need but I wouldn't plan any large or extravagant meals as it's not easy to maneuver. Lastly, there are two doorways to the master bedroom but only one door. It is open to the kitchen and front hallway.
To be clear, none of these things bothered us. We bathed ourselves and two children there, we cooked all but one meal there and my husband slept in one day (sort of) but that might not work for everyone, especially if you have multiple families.
In any case, we had a blast and can't wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your special place with us!
Our family stayed here to visit a student at WCU. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, and had some lovely personal touches like the decor. We plan to be back!!
This property was just what we needed for an overnight stay. There is plenty of room inside for the 3 bedrooms to comfortably accommodate our group. The house was clean and had all the basic ammenities you could need. Joy and Steeve were very responsive and helpful! I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the surrounding woods of the cabin!
This cozy cabin in the woods was perfect for a weekend girls getaway. It provided seculsion while also being easy to get to and conveniently located near the downtown areas of both Cashiers and Highlands. We really enjoyed our time here.
Cabin was easy in - easy out location. Location was half way between Cashiers and Highlands. Small cabin, but plenty enough room....with a lot of character! I wish we would have had longer to stay, but went up for a family member's wedding in Highlands.
