"The hotel is inconspicuous on a dreary day but has double doors from the bar to the street so would be lovely on a summers day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a lovely modern shower and the vista was straight out to the Bay (which was sadly freak and dreary). One lady (Margaret) was amazing. She checked me in and made sure I was happy with everything. Then after I went to my room I went to the bar and was being served pints by Margaret again. £4.50 per pint for Wainwrights was nice to see (a hotel that doesn’t take your eyes Breakfast was good although staff didn’t seem so committed. Wifi was adequate for what I needed it for. I didn’t use the hotel parking because it was free to park in the loading bays (and legal) until 09:00hrs! The only drawback was I was going to Lancaster University the next day and although Google maps said 19mins (at 7.20pm in the evening) the reality in the morning was nearly 1 hour ….. so not ideal if you have to be somewhere in rush hour and need to go through Lancaster!! That said, I would have no issue staying here again. "
