"Lovely refurbed room which was mercifully not too warm - the bane of so many hotel rooms. Water provided in the rooms, a nice touch. Food was excellent at lunch and breakfast. James and Nikki were extremely friendly and accommodating, and we genuinely felt looked after. The only slightly strange event was returning at 10.45 after a concert to find the hotel locked up, but a bang on the window sorted it. "

"Perfectly located, very nice staff, comfortable rooms and aptly priced. It's a cozy hotel where lots of people congregate to have a good time, so expect during the weekends that there will be noise (music, laughter, increasing in intensity as people drink more) late at night. This is because the rooms are close to the bar and fireplace area (I'd suggest the hotel to have a quiet time starting at 10pm or 11pm at most). "A warm welcome from the Reception lady, who quickly got me checked in and was very helpful. Comfortable room, plenty of space and room for hanging clothes up. Nice restaurant with lots of food and drink options, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Nice walks from the door."

"This hotel is gorgeous for a peaceful getaway. I stayed for my birthday and in the room was a card and some complimentary chocolates. Also complimentary sloe gin! The room is cosy and with everything you’d need. I was most impressed by the food here! I couldn’t believe the breakfast was included, you get a cooked meal from the menu as well as fruit and pastries from the buffet. I’d encourage everyone staying to book dinner at The Crown! The food was incredible and the staff very accommodating. "
