"We stayed at the Moxie for three nights. The hotel is in a great location for walking. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. The room was comfortable. The restaurant was very good. I liked the fact that a computer was easy to access so everything didn't need to be done on my phone."

"Loved the hotel. Smelled amazing lol. Handy for trains, shops and all things Edinburgh. The only issue I had was I couldn’t access the WiFi. No internet whatsoever and I really needed to be able to be contacted. Highly recommend the Mercure though. Definitely will be back."

"Really good, lovely welcoming staff. Room had good facilities and range of condiments. Able to take dog and separate areas for dining. Great facilities. Close to a park and beach with good public transport stopping outside and train station within walking distance. "

"Very easy to check in, didn’t see anyone but everything is done digitally and all communication was great. The hotel could do with freshening up a bit, but had everything needed and no problems at all. Nice area, buses run reg to city centre."

"Very central to the Royal Mile and Waverley train station. The room was small, but had everything we needed and nice quality bathroom fixtures. Breakfast was outstanding. Many cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops conveniently located nearby. It took the airlines three days to deliver our luggage and during that time the motel one staff was amazing. Very attentive and helpful and we certainly would come back."

"This was a charming place to stay! Loved our room, the little touches of detail that were so thoughtful ie complimentary snacks & parting treat. Heated towel warmer was really nice & the excellent shower. Everything was very clean and we felt the location was ideal, quick walk for us (we are good walkers) to all the sites. We did not have the breakfast offer so cannot comment on that (That room was full each morning tho) Overall, loved our stay and would return without hesitation. "

"The Ibis is in a great location by the Royal Mile. We were happy that it has an elevator! The bar was an unexpected bonus. What we didn’t care for was late night noise from the bottles that were being dumped after 10 pm, but we realize that it could’ve been the bar next door. Also - a fan in the room would’ve helped! All in all a good experience and price point."
