"My sister and I stayed at The Vestry for just one night whilst we visited our Dad. The venue is undergoing major refurbishment at the moment, that was fully communicated to us and we were offered the option of cancellation, but that was not an option for us. I don’t really want to comment on anything else about our stay other than to advise the location is first rate and to say that the manager, Sam, is an exceptional young man who is kind, professional and just brilliant, and I hope the venue...

"A friendly welcome and straightforward check in. The room I believe has recently been redecorated and it is to a high standard although, the basin hot tap has been incorrectly fitted which might cause a problem if not corrected. (management made aware) The bed was comfortable and allowed a good sleep. The food was very excellent and a good quality cooked breakfast. The only disappointment was the room was not fully cleaned with dust and bits on the carpet near furniture which had not been moved...

"On arrival and departure members of staff offered to help with our bags. Room 4 was fairly small and one side of the bed was difficult to access due to the narrow gap between bed and wall. Our meal in the restaurant was excellent. I had the red onion tart starter which was very tasty. My wife and I both had the fillet of beef which was cooked to perfection."

"I enjoyed my stay and the staff were great. But I had problems getting shower going and there was no heating on. Both problems were fixed but there could have been more info. Especially as the pub was closed the Sunday evening I arrived so no help available."
