"This should have been a couples trip but at the last minute it turned into a solo trip. Even though I was on my own I felt very safe and well looked after. The room was well equipped, clean, newly decorated and comfortable. I tried two things on the breakfast menu and I have to pass my compliments to the chef. The food was very tasty and well presented."

"This is a first-class hotel with beautifully-appointed rooms. Lots of attention to detail for the guest (complimentary drink in room on arrival, 24 hour room service, lovely restaurant and bar). Historic setting on high street, within easy walking distance of all attractions and train station. Very attentive staff. Highly recommended. "

"Excellent stay at this charming hotel. Property was only built in the 1920s but still manages to allude old world charm. Large, well decorated rooms and ours had an open fireplace - a real treat! Service and staff are attentive without being obtrusive. Spa facilities are great as well. Highly recommended! "

"This hotel is huge. The main foyer is brand new and gorgeous with bar, restaurant and swimming facilities. The rest of the hotel is a bit older. The room is an okay place to stay. The sheets are clean and the bathroom usable. But the floors did feel perpetually dirty underfoot. It's worth the money to stay and I enjoyed the experience. "
