"From the moment you step into the lobby, be prepared to be overwhelmed by cloying a cinnamon vanilla scent. Ditto the hallways. Same scent is triggered when you enter your room. Obnoxious and noxious. Instant headache, congestion. Ugh. I honestly wish Hotels.com had some sort of warning in the booking system that alerted people to this. Won’t be back."

"Staff went above and beyond. Friendly especially the breakfast worker who was busing tables. Accessible to airport by bus 5 and to sea world by bus 64. Easy walk to riverwalk and alamo. Pool nice. Comfy beds and pillowd, good showers , room darkening shades"

"I love staying at this Embassy Suites. The staff were amazing. The breakfast was great along with the happy hour that was provided. The only complaint I had was when my room was cleaned they must have never cleaned the floors there was a piece of broken class on the bathroom floor. And after 3 days I threw it out. One day we didn’t get any room service. The vent in bathroom was filthy and coming loose. And our glasses were never cleaned/changed. That’s it."

"Hotel is in a good location . Don’t stay on the first floor next to street if you want to sleep well. Room needs more cleaning but over all it’s a nice hotel. Check in person was wonderful ! "

"Upon checking in, myself, the associates were friendly. I could smell how new everything was as well. Fresh remodel of entire property. This was a major plus. I went up to the room and the water was off for 3 hours, possibly due to them installing new water heaters. I guess this because when the water came back on it took a long time for the hot water to hit, but once it did, there was almost instant hot water the rest of my stay. When I went back down to set foot into the town, i was assisted...

"My family stayed for a Band competition. We have stayed here several times over the years. Its convenient to the almo dome and river walk. They are both in walkkng distance. We like the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, the morning breakfast, fitness, and pool/spa. The staff was friendly and accomadating. What we have come to see is the property needs some improvements. The furniture is breaking down. The couch/ sleep sofa is the same from 10 years ago and is sagging- needs replacing....

"Staff was always courteous. I arrived a bit early and was checked in with no issues. Weekend noise from the traffic outside at night was loud but during the week there was very little noise."

"Loved that it was a unique older small hotel. The room was beautifully styled. Just a little disappointed that I couldn’t get in my room until 4pm. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm. Bar closed. Restaurant limited hours. I wasn’t able to enjoy my VIP perk of a free drink. I suggest let the free drink be something from the fridge in the room if bar and restaurant are closed. Staff were friendly. I would stay again."
