"we finally got a room with patio doors looking onto the countryside. even though it was not the room we had seen on the website. unfortunately a customer parked his large work van across the doors and could not be found to move it. spoiled the whole feeling of the room. our room the super deluxe double? could do with a bit of a update."

"It was good overall for the stopover. beds were comfortable but the soft bed was small for two children. We struggled to bring the room temperature down as it was hot for us. We booked two rooms as we are a family of 7. When booking, we left a message asking for the rooms to be connected or at least on the same floor, but the hotel did not pass on the information. "Check in was super easy with lovely staff. Room size was generous as was shower size. Cleanliness was of a high standard throughout room and hotel. Hairdryer in room and toiletries, plenty of towels. Tv and free internet. Ate in room due to having busy day and staff were happy to supply cutlery which was kind considering they have their own restaurant. Breakfast was amazing ! Choice and quality was above expectations in fact I have paid more for breakfast in places than what I actually paid for...

"A little tired on that TV was terrestrial and shower unit one of those square tight units. Bathroom had heaps of space as did bedroom. Comfy bed. Heating control got the better of me. Service exemplary. Made me and my 2 well traveled miniture Dachshunds very welcome despite some less dog friendly guests. Great grounds. Very peaceful. Uniquely the hotel charge is £15 per animal per night! I am hoping the marketing manager does answermy email concerning this."

"The lodge was very convenient for Ewood park and the pub was lovely serving a good selection of beers and lovely meals. The room was big with a very comfortable king size bed but the bathroom was dated, the shower was good except the piping was coming away from the wall and the cold water tap was stuck solid. "

"My room was large, clean and had all the facilities needed accessed through the bar, few stairs and a long winding corridor with tatty threadbare carpet in places. Staff were friendly and polite, as was the breakfast. Enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room and slightly too cold pool after a day of training. "

"Lovely room, warm, clean and well presented and the breakfast was excellent. What spoil the stay was the constant background hum in the room, some sort of mechanical noise, pump or generator that made sleeping near impossible. Not ideal when you have a long drive the next day. It was not the room heating system as I turned that off. The other issue with the room was the height of the toilet, the only time I have seen toilets that low are in the local infants schools. It was a ridiculous height for a normal size adult "
