"Good location in terms of Universal studios - a bit of a hike to the front gate, like ~15 min walk with kids. Surrounds are not very interesting and there isn’t much else there. We walked / took the free ferry over to the area around the aquarium which we and our kids enjoyed but it does take a while. The hotel is very good and the themed rooms are a bit of fun. "A bit odd the next day as I was checking out, they said they had not collected the city tax of 300 yen from me when I checked and wanted to collect it as I was leaving. As I had booked and prepaid online, I presumed this was already sorted. Regardless that is an error on behalf of the hotel and chasing me down at check-out seemed a bit weird. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. It is super convenient when i am working in the area. "
