Had dinner - but appeared as the restaurant was closed, and were shown to the hotel lounge/library Food was below average- with the burger brioche bun served burnt /black! Despite complaint was charged full price and service charge which was automatically added to final bill but was removed when challenged Of note - we were the only people eating!! Poor experience and poor value"

"We had a lovely weekend stay at the Angel Inn in Chippenham. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed. The room we booked was large and airy with a large king-size bed, a settee and a large bathroom. However, everything in the room was tired. One of the trims on the old wardrobe was coming off leaving sharp pins exposed. The settee was hard and uncomfortable as was the bed which was very firm.
