"Great value for money. The hotel is being refurbished. My room was spotless. The mattress is comfy (though the pillows weren’t too comfortable). New TV, a kettle with tea/coffee well laid out. A microwave oven with a few plates to use for good, was a welcome addition. Receptionist George is friendly and welcoming. I am pleasantly surprised. "

"This is the third year we have stayed to celebrate an AGM. Frankly we were very disorganised re. Numbers. But the Pilgrim were amazing accommodating 40/45 people all very last minute, the food was totally amazing bearing in mind there were so many different variables for a three course meal coming of their table D’hote menu. "This was a remarkable historic place to stay with so much architectural character in the old building. Just sitting in the bar having a drink by the huge historic fireplace was a wonderful experience! The grounds, walk to the canal and adjacent church were equally amazing. We also had a lovely dinner and breakfast but the building itself and grounds was a highlight of our 2 week visit to the Cotswolds!"
