"Stay was good overall. Comfy beds and nice quiet room. Good central location for shops and handy for train station. Probably a little disappointed with breakfast. No pancakes, waffles for kids or overnight oats for myself, but otherwise all very tasty. Just my opinion having stayed in other hotels. "

"Great hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Impressive period building with new additions. Our room looked out onto the road but never noticed any noise at night. We did a one day course in the cookery school which was excellent, would highly recommend. Great location for exploring York. Parking at the station long stay car park is a much cheaper option than the nearer NCP (only £15 for a long weekend). Nice spa and pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Really good breakfast."

"Nice place! Nice clean room. Breakfast was amazing!! Parking will run you about £18 a night as there is no lot on the property and they use a third party but they will comp your ticket. Nice staff. Breakfast was the best part 10/10"

"We had a lovely stay at the Elmbank, the rooms are modern and stylish and the rest of the hotel is nice. The hotel did feel short of staff at times with the bar man having to run the bar and prepare food. We ordered food one evening and it was pretty basic for the price. I did notice that some of the communal areas could have been cleaner, the floors were dusty in areas. The breakfast was good, but being a smaller hotel, I have had better at bigger places. "Everything excellent, breakfast really good big menu from continental, to full cooked breakfast, to all type's of fresh fruit, tea coffee and a machine for latte etc, staff very helpful and polite, evening meals really good. This hotel goes all out to cater for the residents. Definitely a revisit."

"Nice quiet hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of York. Lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. Hotel parking and a public car park are a short walk away. Very friendly helpful reception staff, we arrived early, they held our luggage and transferred it to our room when it became available."

"Nice staff and the stay in general was fine. Only let down by the badly stained carpet in the room. We did report this and were told the room is getting a new carpet soon. A robust clean of the current carpet would suffice. "
