"Room was comfortable. No view from room. Pretty area with gardens around walkways. Not a lot of outside seating areas. Most rooms are a walk uphill a ways. Not many have close parking. Trails uphill behind resort. 4x4 drive to upper parking was in good shape and looked good enough for 2 wheel when dry. Dining was fine, with good service. "This hotel is charming and lovely with 5 star rooms and dining. The bar had amazing drinks and it would be a very expensive hotel if it wasn’t directly on the highway. The views of the ocean are breathtaking but it’s literally on top of the highway so you hear and smell trucks and ambulances."

"Superb property up on the Uvita mountains. As long as you have a 4x4, getting there is a fun ride. Staff was great and the spa facilities are really nice. The only thing keeping me from returning for a whole remote work week is the internet speed. It was spotty and not reliable for a prolonged work stay."

"The hotel is absolutely unique. We were in cabin 14and was literally living in the jungle with floor to ceiling windows. So peaceful to watch nature with our own viewing deck. Excellent restaurant and staff were great. We went in late march and it was very cool being at higher altitude so maybe take a jacket. Well worth the trip!!!!!"

"After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled.
