"We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. "Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. "I really enjoyed my stay at Yufuin Yamaboshi. I arrived a couple hours before check-in time but was able to leave my luggage at the lobby so I could explore the area.
