"Such a lovely spot tucked just outside of town. Simple but lovely accommodations. The staff went out of their way to meet every need. The room was comfortable but the bathroom needed hooks to hang towels. The best part was the feeling of being up in the trees being blown with the branches. "

"The property consists of 3 modern cabins. They are on a hills side (everything in Monteverde area is on a hillside) so be prepared to hike up and down everywhere. No uber, lift or public trans, but there are taxis. Accommodations were spacious, comfortable and reasonably priced for the area. Full kitchen was nice. We couldn't figure out how to operate the stove, but we used the microwave. About a 10 minute walk into center of Santa Elena."

"We enjoyed our stay and the local wildlife. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to a bar and restaurant. The room has an exterior entrance for privacy, was large and had a mini fridge, which is appreciated. Coffee is only available in the main communal area, which is a bit inconvenient but at least it’s available. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!"

"Not the smoothest of steep roads up the hill but well worth it when you get there. Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. The spacious room was more than adequate. "

"Wonderful location in the middle of the rainforest. You can hear the high winds whipping above, but protected in the thick layers of the forest, just a small cool breeze standing on the balcony. Bed was very comfortable."

"The shower's hot water is not strong enough, so you need to turn the water volume way down to have a decent temperature shower. The room sound insulation is very poor and you can easily hear the tv from next room. The room service is ok, and the bed was not set every day."

Sian took great care of us, booking our excursions, coordinating our meals, and answering all of our questions about the area. The food there was some of the best that we had in Costa Rica! "A small, but mighty property!! This family run property only has 3 units, however, very much worth a stay in Monteverde. The cabins are clean, comfortable and spacious. As an added bonus, the location is perfect for a Monteverde sunset. Jose is a perfect host as well!!"
