"The Mamlouk Pyramids Hotel over delivered in terms of location and view. The balcony room and restaurant had a gorgeous sunrise view of the pyramids and we were literally around the corner from Giza Plateau. The staff did not complain at all for having to wait up until 4 am to check us in. "

Rooms felt a little small and dated, but overall service was good, location was nice, breakfast had a good variety and generally fair to good food. Cafe was excellent (atmosphere and food). Having stayed at two other 5* hotels on the same holiday albeit in a different country, the Kempinski was certainly not the best of the three but...

We stayed at a suite with garden, zoo and pyramid views breathtaking. The service is exceptional, the room service meals amazing. Well worth the price. Would stay there a million times more. We were sooo sad to leave. They made our stay unforgettable. "

I didn’t like the furniture that needs upgrading within 2-3 years, I didn’t like room service that needed a new menu and chef, I didn’t like the relative lack of training of staff at concierge and overall. I didn’t like being told all restaurants open until 1 am when only two were open. I didn’t like the smell of the cigar room reception. I didn’t like the Lebanese restaurant Zaitouni; it should be replaced immediately. "
