"The owner was available by phone when we arrived. We were given a free dinner at a restaurant she was working at; which was convenient and delicious. The room was as stated. The hotel is dated, but we had no issues with the property. "

"Positive: Conveniently close (we hauled our luggage) to the Trenitalia station that connects to Trieste (cruise ship port). A variety of small restaurants within walking distance in case you have a late flight arrival. Negative: you climb stairs from the street level to the lobby level. From the lobby, there are more levels to climb to your room. No elevator, in case you are hauling your luggage yourself."

"Charming, authentic little spot. If you like modern, homogenized, soulless hotels, don't stay here. This place is for experiencing Italy and supporting Venice. A little quirky, but that's the fun part! The staff was so kind and helpful, they called 3 restaurants to get me a reservation on my first night in. Note of caution: expedia pics dont represent the ACTUAL hotel room you get. I was lucky the room I really wanted was available to change to. The breakfast was okay and there are a few...
