"Locanda La Corte is an intimate, friendly characterful property. Our room was beautiful and large with Canal views. Rami, the owner is so hospitable and kind he made us feel so welcome, as did all the staff. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was the best meal of our stay in Venice. Really really good. Accompanied by Rami on base guitar! Such a wonderful evening. Breakfast is a simple but delicious buffet with the best coffee and hot chocolate. The hotel is in a quiet area...

"I don’t think anything is convenient in Venice, but at least this location is not that far from the train station. I really like the area, it was quiet, but yet close to a lot of cafés and restaurants. It was comfortable, and the breakfast included was a nice touch the receptionist was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place and I would stay here again."

There was some construction going on due to water damage from another property next door, but didn't start until 830am and was done by 5pm. "Hotel is in a hidden area and very rustic. Receptionist was friendly but the room was smoky. It does have an elevator which is huge! Dog outside in neighboring building barked ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT Until after 10pm. Just prepare yourself. My wife complained about the bed being too hard. I thought the shower in the tub was slippery and a bit dangerous with no mat, but does have astool you can put in. "

"Located in the Rialto area of Venice, this is a quaint hotel. There is not an elevator, so if you cannot climb stairs, this is not for you. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and helped made our stay pleasant."
