"The property is a bit dated but well maintained, kept clean and in order. It worked out for our family looking for a relaxed and easygoing stay. When we walked for a morning stroll, we caught a beautiful and clear view of Mt Fuji. With rental car, we had access to a selection of restaurants, shops, and activities within the Lake Yamanakako area. But 7/11 is also just a few minute walk and the hotel offers breakfast and dinner for an affordable price. We would stay here again!"

"Nice relaxing stay. A little bit hard to get to, especially with luggage as the bus gets very crowded. No food options nearby (need to take the bus or a 20min walk along a narrow mountain road to nearest store) so make sure to bring some food if you plan to eat onsite."

"There's no private bathroom in the room. Most Japanese accommodations provide a yukata robe, especially for when accessing common bathroom facilities. This property had none to offer. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone who has physical limitations, such as difficulty walking as there is a very steep switchback to access this property. Also there was no signage so I easily got lost. The facility itself is quiet, but the announcements from the train station carries all the way to...

If you come into the Odawara Station, there is a bus that drops you off about a 8 minute walk from the property. The experience felt authentic and traditional. There are 2 identical private onsens (with indoor and outdoor options), so although you can only book once per day, we didn’t have any issue getting a slot. "The place was beautiful. The owners were also extremely friendly, they offered to drive us to any restaurant in the area if we didn’t want to eat at a place within walking distance. Breakfast was also delicious and traditional. They also helped us get a bus reservation to our next destination and drove us to the bus stop. Highly recommend!"
