"We really enjoyed staying here. After booking primarily at traditional hotels through Costa Rica during our vacation, we thought it would be cool to try something different. Estrellas is more of a small boutique BnB with amazing views, deep in the Samara hills. Be prepared, I highly advise having a 4x4, we made the mistake of booking a sedan on our trip and deeply regretted it. However, it is important to note that you must call a day ahead to confirm your booking as the man on duty is not always notified that you are coming... Also, be aware that to get to Ostional and Villas Punta India, you must travel on at least 17 miles of dirt road. Rough drive if you don't have 4-wheel drive (or a larger car)!"

"This place was an absolute dream for me and my friends, and would recommend it for any group. The property has endless gold star benefits, my favorite being the huge yard. Being able to see the ocean from our yard, as well as to stand in the grass under the incredible Costa Rican night sky, was a blessing. "Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"This was one of our favourite places in all of Costa Rica to stay and I can't recommend it enough. Coltin is a fabulous host who is very responsive and knowledgeable about the local area but also keeps your privacy. The house is stunning and has the best views for sunset and relaxing and it's super convenient for going anywhere in town when you actually can leave the property though it's hard to do! I can't say enough about this place and don't have anything negative to say, which is rare for me...
