"i was given a warm reception on arrival and this theme carried on throughout my three night stay. The room i was allocated was excellent, clean, warm and spacious with a ensuite shower and plenty of storage space. The bar / restaurant area was a pleasure to enjoy the food was outstanding and the company likewise. It is a long time since i have a enjoyed such a warm atmosphere and will be returning again when i am in the area, thank you Mark."

"Lovely old world hotel. Nice breakfast. The only fault was we were put in a room at top of the building, 4 landings and 36 stairs. Although elderly we managed but with some impaired mobility it wouldn't be good. Suggested to manager that they put a note on the site for this room booking. It was also a shared bathroom which was my fault for not reading it properly. "

The check in was straight forward and you're given a printed sheet to put in the front of the car to cover parking in the pay & display at the rear of the building. "Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this. Only issue we had was that you are unable to control the heating in any way. Room was cold...
