"All in all a pleasant stay. Great bar/fan park area, food was of very good standard, rooms were comfy and some sky tv was a bonus. Corridor carpets and a few places were showing signs of aging, but nothing major. I was disappointed the car park and pool were chargeable extras and the gym/pool can get very busy with none hotel members, but hey ho."

"Was a unique experience. No reception. No bar. No Dining Room. No on site parking. Communication was excellent with door code and security keys and mobile number in case of emergencies. The house was very welcoming with a Christmas tree and carols being played and as the house has a "no shoes" policy it would have been more convenient to have a dedicated area for changing footwear rather than the very tiny lobby area. "Lovely setting, room was immaculate with a view of the lake and the formal gardens. We found the bed and pillows quite firm but cannot fault the accommodation. We ate in the castle view restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was fantastic and great cocktails which we thought were good value. Castle access is included in the stay but due to bed weather the castle and attractions did not open on the Sunday which was our plan for the day. Quite disappointed to have missed out. "
