"Arrived at this Home Inn I booked on hotels.com using the address in my email from them. The address was actually 51 not 53. The room was very cheap for 148 CNY per night. On checking in they told me I was at the wrong hotel and should be at Shanghai Airport Home Inn and it was 200 CNY away in a taxi. I spent 5 hours talking to this hotel and the airport hotel and 3 hours on the phone with hotels.com and finally it was 3am and I had to pay 325 CNY to stay at this hotel! I still can't believe it....

"This was the worst hotel experience ever. I arrived at the hotel and the receptionists did not speak any English. She told me through a translator that I am at the wrong hotel. She showed me to a different hotel within the same building. When I arrived there they told me the first place I was at is the right one. "Very nice hotel for the price and location, which is few minute walk to the main bund shopping. If you don't want to pay the outrages hotel prices on the bund then this the best bet. Very friendly staff also, plus I enjoyed the walk to the main shopping area because you go through a nice part of China with little mini stores and restaurants. "

"First up, hotel staff's english is almost non-existent.Nothing much else. The hotel's a bit old, leaky pipes/shower heads etc. Was put on ground floor, so I was worried someone's gonna climb through the window to steal things. It's not as close to Pudong airport as I initially thought. Taxi ride was RMB100! "
