"Excellent location for our visit to Monticello and Charlottesville. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the foothills scenery - plus wildlife - was beautiful. The weather was a bit cool for the hot tub but the farm and pastures were exactly the respite for which we were planning. Our host, Steve, called to check in and offer recommendations. Great visit to Monticello, Jefferson Vineyards, the Highlands, Boars Head and Charlottesville."

"This tiny house was great for some alone time with your partner. The only downsides were, there was a coffee pot you could make coffee on the stove, but no coffee maker. Your are set out in the country some, so some insects are to be expected, but they mostly stayed on the first floor, there was a decent amount of ants in the kitchen (windows were rustic, so they were coming in there) we just kept any food in the fridge. The handle on the tub is broken off, and we found it weird that already...

"Lovely stay in a quiet and peaceful location that was conveniently located for all our activities. Host was very communicative and helpful. If there was a washer and dryer, I would definitely book for longer stays! "

"We had a family wedding in Gordonsville and couldn’t resist staying in this wonderful little cottage. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was how clean and neat the cottage was. It’s an older home, but had all the modern amenities that we needed and we’re very pleased with all the comforts that were provided. They thought of everything. Can’t wait to get a chance to stay again. !!"

"Ivy Cottages was the perfect place to stay because it was easy to reach UVA. The cottage had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. There was also easy access to a grocery store. I would definitely stay here again."

"Was a little bumpy getting into the rental but wires got crossed so no one’s fault. The owner was very nice and a big help getting me in! The back yard is huge and the short hiking trail was great. My dog also became friends with a frog that showed up in the front yard everyday. Ha "

"Overall a very nice clean and convenient location for visiting Charlottesville, VA. FYI the turn into the driveway, when headed east is a steep turn, which can be tricky at night the first time. One thing that would be nice is a compact washer & dryer unit; that said this is an excellent location in a beautiful setting."
