The place was nice and clean. Since I was traveling alone this time, I was a little concerned about my safety. But once I got there, it looked reasonably safe. The person at the front desk was nice, but not welcoming. Despite the remodeling that was going on, I couldn’t hear anything from my room. The breakfast buffet was better than most. I would stay here again.

This was a great stay! We really enjoyed the delicious options for breakfast and the cozy room. It was great hanging out in the lobby by the fire on New Year’s Eve/Day. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at this property. Nice establishment with friendly staff. You're close to downtown but not paying for downtown prices as parking onsite is free. Room comfortable and we had both a mini fridge and microwave. Property has both a pool and fitness center and serves breakfast in morning as well as tea time. Beautiful lobby and near a hiking trail. Do not expect a lot of bells and whistles but I would stay here again.

The English Inn is a charming property which is great for families. We stayed in a very comfortable self contained apartment, breakfast is included with friendly staff, they even have afternoon tea and cookies for guests. Pets are also able to stay. They have an indoor pool and border a wooded area that is great for walking. It is an easy walk to shopping, restaurants, cafe's and the university. This is our third time staying at the hotel and we will continue to do so. Thank you to the friendly staff for a wonderful stay.

I booked this hotel because they offered an indoor pool. Upon checking in I was told it was closed. I would not have stayed here had I known the pool was closed. Swimming is the one thing my kids always look forward to.
