"To entrance is within the porte cochere. Middle of the block. You can avoid paying the $40 per day valet charge and self park at the hanover st garage or the foundry garage. We parked at the foundry garage for $1/ hr. Its a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Everything in downtown portsmouth is within walking distance and felt very safe. Strawberry Banke is a 15 minute walk and quite enjoyable. We ate at the hearth food court, it was lovely. Theres plenty of choices for food and beverage within walking distance. The only dislike i had for the hotel, was that the bed was to hard for my liking. The water pressure and space was great however. We would stay here again and i would recommend it. "

"A check in I was told our room was not booked as hotels.com told us. Fortunately the front desk staff was fantastic. She took the time to find our reservation and book us in the correct room. She also took down adequate information from me to provide to management so the problem was corrected without having to do anything else on my part. Great hotel, great gym, sauna and hot tub area."
