"Loved the uniqueness of this boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We visited the sister hotel, Riviera del Rio, and enjoyed their infinity pool and views which was a nice perk. We enjoyed our welcome drinks and snack and we enjoyed our upgraded room. Loved the convenience of the location- close to the Malécon and the old town and right by the cat island!"

"Villa Lola provided a clean, safe, friendly and well located place for us to stay in PV. The staff was especially friendly. The morning breakfasts were delicious. The beds were quite comfortable, and the air conditioning kept our large room at a perfect temperature. I’m hopeful it will be available for my annual trek next January to PV."

"Hosts: Extremely helpful, they went out of their way to help me get items I needed for the next stage of my trip. Room and building: Excellent. Atmospheric with lots of character, and a view of palm trees from my window. Cool with AC and a powerful fan. Big garden area which is nicely lit at night, with swinging chairs, recliners and a pool. "First impressions are everything and this place had it in spades. From the welcome by Manuel and Rosa on-site hosts to the phone call from Elza the owner welcoming us and sending a bottle of wine to our room. This really cool Mexican B&B was special. The view was spectacular and our room was fantastic, it is actually a suite.You do really need a car though if you have walking issues as it is up a steep hill to the property, but the view as a result is worth it. "It was horrible experience. I didnt even stay at this place. I made reservation through expedia and the host mentioned he never got the reservation on his end. To make things worse, he said he was all booked and had no more rooms. I had my family with me and had to look elsewhere for a night's stay. Im glad i called him a head of time and found out. "Booked without realizing it was outside of Puerto Vallarta. One of my best mistakes to date. It is a little expensive to get to by taxi, and extra $50 we didn't plan on but in the end it was sooo worth it. This place is tranquil and good for the soul. The area is noisy at night with 2 bars next door, but they serve excellent drinks and the lovely park acrooss the street has many cultural events. Not a place for those who want peace and quiet!
