"Everything was fabulous, clean, safe private, convenient, friendly staff actually made me a free breakfast and coffee and I had the opportunity to prepare and cook my own food in the common kitchen This has been the best place I have stayed so far, I would definitely stay here again, it is only 3 blocks to the beach."

"I needed a get away, nice and quiet and this is the perfect location for it. You are on top of a hill, with the most stunning view of La Cruz. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I am a solo traveler and they made sure I felt safe anytime. Manuel is around to guide you with all you need. Breakfast is made like your preferences as I am gluten intolerant and it was no issue to give me still an amazing experience. I extended asap and would definitely book again"

"This recently updated family-owned property is a retreat from the hustle of busy streets, beaches and mega-resorts. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean.Having the hosts downstairs is an added bonus--good conversation, tips for getting around, breakfast (small extra ) if desired. Their big ole dog has quite the personality. He quickly warms up to guests after a day or two. He does not go upstairs; he keeps to himself in a corner or inside the house. "Booked without realizing it was outside of Puerto Vallarta. One of my best mistakes to date. It is a little expensive to get to by taxi, and extra $50 we didn't plan on but in the end it was sooo worth it. This place is tranquil and good for the soul. There is a small stream behind the hotel with a manmade sandbar in it with 3 beach chairs. Waterfall about 4 steps away from that. "Our group of 4 people had an excellent time at Melia Puerto Vallarta during our 5-day stay. The property and rooms were clean, the landscaping was beautifully done with lots of lush greenery, and the dining at the buffet and both the specialty restaurants was amazing. There was also a vast array of fun activities every day that kept us comfortably busy but still with enough time to relax by their large pool. Beach access was easy and I also specifically appreciated that there were showers to wash sand off between the beach and the rest of the property. The shows were also very entertaining, especially their “Atlantida” show which was thrilling to watch the performers in the air. The property is also very conveniently located being only a few minute walk from great shopping at the marina, and less than 10 minute drive from the airport. Our group would also like to specifically mention Leo Leon, Anna, and Alexandra with activities, our dance instructor Betty, and Angel with luggage service. They were all very kind, professional, exceptionally helpful, and it is clear that they play a major role in keeping the resort running well for guests. We certainly recommend that they receive raises for their outstanding service as they made our experience at Melia truly memorable."
