"Freshly refurbished, clean and tidy, decent shower with soap and shampoo provided, central location in the town. Not a huge room, but adequate for a few nights. No wardrobe, but there were a few pegs to hang stuff on, and a few small open shelves. Some noise from folks leaving the pub quite late, also traffic noise from the A5. I was worried about how to access the property, but instructions arrived by SMS mid afternoon and worked fine. "

"A real hidden jem in a small village with lots of facilities. Opposite the Castle and duck pond. Not far to lots of tourist hotspots and when you get back plenty of free parking. Its an old building with creaking floorboards but that odds to the charm."

"I was able to experience staying in a typical Victorian house. The owner made sure I had all I needed; he was prompt, cheerful, and polite. Groceries, fine dining, take-out, etc. are all nearby. I especially liked the charity shops where I was able to buy old books."

"This was just a flying visit as I needed somewhere to stay in the middle of a long journey... I picked this option as it was the cheapest I saw (£42) and I was on a budget, so I knew I might have to just accept anything - but the quality of everything about my stay was great! I was able to check in/out outside the normal hours which I appreciated and communication with the owners was very good (including full guidance on parking). "We had a lovely 2 night stay, the room we stayed in was a lot nicer than the pictures on the website it was really modern. Breakfast was lovely but the conservatory you sat in to dine was quite dated. Easy to find a parking space and loads of lovely restaurants on Faulkner Street which is less than 5 minutes walk away. "

"Sebastian's if right in the heart of town with plenty to see and do. The rooms are full of character and the hosts very welcoming. Fantastic attention to detail that made the trip feel very special. The breakfast was simply stunning :)"

"Was great just no loo paper "

"We have just returned from two fantastic nights at Rondeva. The location is perfect! Warm, cosy and comfortable. Waking to watch the sunrise, whilst seeing the rowers on the river - just brilliant! Highly recommend and we very much hope to be back. The host, Chris, was on hand if needed but he has everything covered, so we didn’t! "

"Very small room, no lampshade no tiolet roll. Doors banging very loudly with no regard for other people. Smoking in the house which was unpleasant. Nithing good to say really. 40quid a night is ridiculous for that room."

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."

"The room and inside of the hotel were fab. It was very comfortable and clean. Don’t be put off by a dated exterior. The inside is lovely, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was good quality - no complaints. The park and ride is right next door for an easy trip into Chester. We had a happy stay. "

"Warm welcome and offers of help with the luggage Smooth quick and friendly check in and shown to our room. Nice touch! Room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. Bed was a little on the soft side for my liking (but that is just my preference). Staff are helpful and lots of patience, nothing was too much trouble You get what you pay for imo My only issue is that we couldn’t get into the dining room on either night we stayed as it was full. Disappointing given that we paid so much for the room and they couldn’t accommodate. "
