"Really nice location, plenty of parking available. Nice pub and accommodation. Staff are very attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was good quality, service was very good. Breakfast was very good. Room was good. The only slight negative, and I hate to add that it seems to be common with all hotels, is that the cups were very small for tea / coffee. I'm sure if we'd asked they would have had some decent sized mugs? Overall, you can't go wrong, clean, beautiful...

"Excellent food. Fabulous service from reception, bar and restaurant. Beautiful location with amazing views. Friendly hospitable staff. Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable and spacious. It’s an old building with the related issues (you’d creak a bit if you were that old!). The breakfast buffet was limited however the cooked breakfast food more than made up for this. The evening meals were outstanding. We were part of a group of 6 and none of us were disappointed with the choice or quality. "

"Our stay was amazing we took the grandchildren as we went to Reindeer lodge on the Saturday. The hostess left everything you might need and the horse came across to see us every day which the girls loved. There was only one fault which didn't affect our stay one of the keys to the french window didnt work and i forgot to let them know as it wasnt a problem because we just used the front door .We would definitely come back here again. "

"This beautifully renovated accommodation is a total gem. Clean, well presented and full of charm... If you're looking for a time out in nature with some creature comforts.... It's the perfect choice!I'll definitelt be heading back for a visit to explore more in the warmer season. "

"The property was ideal for our break, very clean and well kept. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful and polite. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the sauna wasn't in operation but everything else was great and as described. We travelled to Chester by train and found the public transport and taxis very reasonably priced with the local buses stopping almost outside of the hotel drive. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, a very good experience overall. Paul and Jean "
