"We are Whittier college graduates. We were in Whittier to celebrate a friends memorial and also to participate in your college homecoming activities. We chose this VRBO home due to its proximity to the college and the fact that it looked like a quaint, quiet quaint place on-line. Mostly, we enjoyed our stay. "This is advertised as a million dollar mansion with spectacular views but it is an absolute dump. The house was disgusting and filthy. The floors made your feet black, the sheets had stains on them, and their was dust everywhere. The pictures of the home make it seem that is well put together. In reality, there are dirt on the wall, holes in the floor, ceilings, and walls. When an area is touched up with paint, it is done with a different color so the overall house looks run down and old....

"This place turned out to be one of our best experiences renting through a service like VRBO. Primarily, the host made the difference--so accommodating and respectful. And the place was perfect for us, full kitchen, comfortable seating and access to an outdoor patio which lent a sense of home to the whole experience. Highly recommend it for a getaway for two."
