"Staff were very ,friendly rooms were nice and clean as was the bedding, however we had twin beds which were a bit small and the mattress was very bouncy but over all we had a good time "
"Great location. Room was very nice size and up to date. Only negative is the parking is at the nearest public parking lot - if you can get a spot. But overall a good night at a great location. "
"Very close to Whitby swing bridge so handy for attractions, restaurants, coop 3 minute walk if want self catering. Newly renovated, very clean, lovely views."
"This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in and we have been going to Whitby for 35 years !!
Everything was perfect it had a super king bed , extra large fluffy bath towels , top end fixtures and fittings, everything felt so luxurious, it was spotlessly clean and had its own secure parking space !!
Can’t wait till we can come again."
"Lovely little cottage. some damp but I suppose it is to be suspected with the age and location of the building. Windows are a bit stiff, but the kitchen window should be opened due to lack of an extractor. There was no soap, but everything else we needed was provided. The location was excellent and access was easy, aside from parking but we managed OK."
"Modern, well fitted out apartment. Great to have an indoor car park. Watching the steam trains from the window was a bonus. I'm guessing though that the radiators will be well used in the cooler months."

"Room in the Windmill was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Loved being able to have a deep luxurious bath... so relaxing after being out in Whitby and walking most of the day Staff were welcoming and very accommodating. Got asked every morning if we needed anything doing or replacing in the room. Breakfasts and evening meals were amazing, with lots of choice and using locally resourced produce. Need to have a good appetite as portions were more than ample. Sunday lunch was unbelievable. Very popular family friendly pub, but plenty of seating outside to sit and unwind on a summer evening and enjoy the lovely views. Noise from the bar on an evening could be a put off for some but it wasn't an issue for us. "
"The hotel is being renovated but that didnt spoil our stay the staff were all friendly and the bar and restaurant area were stunning. Stayed in room 108 which had two large windows with amazing views."
"We had a lovely welcome at check in 💕
The parking was super we got parked outside which was convenient and we were given a parking permit. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! We would recommend experiencing this unique hotel which capulates the imagination and looks over on to the famous Whitby Abby 💕We had a wonderful stay thank you to the La Rosa hotel and wonderful staff!"
Two double bedroom flat with fantastic roof terrace overlooking Swing Brid
10/10 Excellent
"The flat was absolutely brilliant, the area it’s in was brilliant for our stay, unloading the car was easy the rooms where bright and very clean and it had everything you could possible need for a short stay. The stairs going up to the flat are quite brutal ( I’ve got a bad knee ) but it was outweighed by the veranda over looking the estuary. Will definitely be staying again and cannot recommend enough Mr Barrett "
Beautiful Cosy Cottage On The Cliff Top With Stunning Sea Views
10/10 Excellent
"On our short trips in England and Wales, we again decided to travel to Whitby, to the paradise in a bottle. The weather was 30degs, constant, the sun was strong and shining on us, the sound of rushing tide coming in and out, clearly this was heaven! We had a short walk to Whitby to mingle with the bustling crowd and the cobble stones that takes me back to my childhood home. The cottage is a lovely little homely one. It has one bed that fits the bill. The stargazing ones among you, will be flabbergasted at the amount of dark sky, with celestial objects sighted, up above, when the sun goes down.Don’t forget to bring your binoculars or telescope. There is no wifi at the cottage and that is a bit of problem at times. It would be nice to go and have it and decide whether you need it or not. That choice should be yours, it should have it. If you don’t want to share the wild West nightlife in Whitby you can stay in the cottage. The problem here is the tv set was born in the 20th century and as such has its own little plan for you to get annoyed to. What it needs is a nice big modern tv on a proper adjustible wall stand. That would cost no more than 300. (See Richer Sounds)All in all a wonderful little cottage, we will return, if the thing isn’t booked up. ! DB. "
