"We stayed in the barn at the end of the driveway. It has its own private patio and use of the grounds and pool. The barn itself was clean and well equipped with views across the countryside. The check-in was non-contact which is perfect for me as I'm clinically vulnerable. The welcome box was a nice touch. A perfect, peaceful place to relax while visiting family in the area. "

We were greeted by our gracious host, who showed us the cottage and gave us recommendations for nearby dining and places of interest - of which there are many. Watching cows and rabbits graze in the pasture was quite relaxing. Highly recommended!"

"My husband and our 2 young children flew from the states over to England to surprise our friends for a special visit. This home was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family. It was a quick drive to many towns and had easy access to unlicensed transport so we could go into London. The property manager was kind and quick to offer assistance whenever we needed anything. "We spent a week at Penn Court Estate, it was the perfect get away for our family holiday this year. The cottages are lovely and well equipped, comfy beds, good living spaces and plenty of bathrooms. The estate is very secure, quite and pretty, the children in our group had a wonderful time running through the trees and playing in the very clean pool. It was great, the pool opening times 10am-5:30pm really helped us manage the children’s and made for a very relaxing break. We didn’t venture out...

"This property feels like you are house sitting. Everything you expect and more was provided. Having travelled from London where the accommodation varied, this home was a relief to stay in. The only real problem for us was that my spouse is very tall so had to duck when using the stairs."

"Owners very friendly. Ideal for children, Lovely outside areas including Romany caravan, Wendy houses, Tennis Court, 2 BBQ areas, 2 trampolines, zip wire, lots is outside seating, duck pond, chickens etc. Plenty of choice, but some of the equipment has seen better days !"

"Accommodations were very basic. No essentials were provided, soap, shampoo, paper towels, tissues, salt, and pepper. It would be a big plus too have a couple more hooks and shelves in the bathroom to be able to place things. Another chair in the main living area would be helpful. Plan to bring everything with you. "I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here. The house was clean, inviting, warm, and well positioned for comfort. The hostess set out fresh baked bread and muffins, butter, milk, eggs, coffee—everything we needed for a delicious breakfast to get our mornings going. The linens were soft and fresh, and beds were quite comfortable. We absolutely will stay here in the future!"

"We loved staying at Bermonds Locke! It was an ideal location, and check in was very smooth. We liked that the rooms had a kitchen and washer/dryer, however the dryer didn't really dry our clothes very well (NOT the hotel's issue I'm sure). The front desk staff was great. We ended up extending our stay because our flight was cancelled and we couldn't fly out until a few days later, and they were very understanding and helpful with us booking a few extra nights.
