"Not easy to find,since no street-number supplied until asked for. Expected en-suite - bathroom shared (between 2 rooms) and quite a distance from the bedroom. Access arrangements (and supervision) sketchy - via key-safe on telephoning (never-seen) owner. However, the bed was very comfortable and the location quiet."

"The Moat House was a revelation, I was expecting high quality but it was better than that, literally everything was perfect. The room, view, staff, food, even to the extent that the biscuits in my room were gluten-free! (I had told them in advance I couldn’t have gluten but only expected this to be noted at breakfast!) I normally find something lacking in a hotel, but not this time. Thank you to all the staff, I’ll be back! 😊"

"enjoyable, spotlessly clean, faded grandeur we visited for a concert & weren’t sure what to expect of the hotel exceeded expectations! The towels, toiletries & shower were all as good as more expensive place. Impossible for a big hotel of this age to compete with the new builds. It was comfortable, certainly met our needs & staff all went above & beyond "
