"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....

"A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. "

"The pluses outweighed the minuses during this stay, but communication was the hardest aspect of this stay. If you're going to use a management system to advertise on a platform like VRBO, the information needs to be repetitive and CLEAR via the VRBO platform about where to find any further check in and rental information. "The facilities at this property were very minimal for what is offered as a furnished holiday let. A salt and pepper set would have been nice. We had flat 2 which is not air conditioned but an air-conditioning unit outside our suite was noisy and disturbing."
