"Modern style & decor. We heard someone describe it as an ‘outdoorsy styled Premier Inn’ and would agree, with some nice additions of all day hot drinks and 4pm cake. We had a ‘small double’ room but this was a generous size with plenty of storage to unpack into. Everything was clean and the linen & towels were good quality. The shower was delightful after a long day of walking & the toiletries smelled nice. Food on the first night was underwhelming (burger & chips and pizza) but the Sunday roast was very good, especially the cauliflower cheese. Parking is great, wash off facilities are useful, lounge area is really nice. Like much accommodation in the area it is next to the busy road so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Most staff were friendly, polite & helpful. A few seemed disinterested and probably not suited to a hospitality role. Self check in and check out was quick and easy. I would say that the photos are an accurate reflection of the spaces, general condition of the hotel and it’s style. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again. "
