"Lovely place to stay in a rural setting. The cottage was cosy and warm, and had everything we needed. The only downside was no wifi, but we had a good phone connection so managed with our hotspot. Jo & Clive were great hosts alwsys available and helpful. It is ideally situated for walk, Buxton, Leek and other peak park towns. Would definitely book it again."

"We had 3 lovely nights in The Nook, it was conveniently located close to all amenities. As we had a dog it would have been helpful to know where to take him to do he's business, as the property doesn't have a garden. The kitchen window and door could do with a blind as it would give some privacy, also on the front door window, maybe a little curtain. Could also do with some new towels and bed linen, as they seem a bit worn and dated. These are only minor issues and we would definitely stay...

"Accommodation was clean, comfortable, within close walking distance to a few eateries and shops, and near Peak District favorites such as Chatsworth House and Bakewell. The children especially enjoyed the playground just across from the back garden. Our only disappointment was that the listing said there was a hot tub, but that must have been an error. All in all a great stay!"

It was very cold whilst we were staying but we were perfectly warm with the excellent central heating and two fabulous wood burners. We had dinner at the Waterloo Inn and then walked to Hartington the next day and then along the river to Dovedale on the third and loved it all. "The house was absolutely perfect, lots of space for everyone, including the dogs. My only complaint was tge lack of cooking pots and serving plates, plus there was no plates/cups etc for small children when there was a cot and stair gate so i would expext those extras."
