Friend of a friend told us about this Eagle rock! No one had heard of it.... it's on the Pacific crest trail, 1 hr or so from warner springs. The San Diego Reader did an article on it back in 2012. Read the below link for directions.

"We had an amazing stay! The home is incredibly spacious—perfect for hosting friends and family. The kitchen was one of the best-stocked and most well-organized we’ve ever seen in a rental, which made group meals and celebrations so easy. We were in town for a birthday and Easter weekend, and this place was the ideal setting. The location is also fantastic—right in the heart of Temecula wine country. Highly recommend!"

I would say the one downside was the spa was having difficulties heating up, however Neda was open and available to get that problem solved. I would recommend another option to get the spa heated consistently (it takes about 2 hours for it to heat up at intervals of 4 hours) and we were only able to really use it our second night after waiting for the heating. "From the moment you arrive at Villa Fabulosa, you feel as if you've been transported to another country. It's Ibiza-inspired charm is felt around every corner, from the clean architectural lines to the stunning panoramic vistas of Temecula. The kitchen is the BEST stocked kitchen I've ever come across in a vacation home. Everything to feed a crowd is there and if you're a coffee lover, there is even a milk frother! The house operates like a smart house, but fear not, there are QR codes...

"The location of this house was perfect being central to most wineries (also walking distance to a few). We loved the common spaces, especially the open kitchen / living space. Definitely recommend for a large group, as the # of bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect!"

Peaceful resort, as close to Napa as you can get

"I love this resort and stay here every few months. I wish that the spa services weren't so pricey. The rooms are large, beautiful landscaping. Tasting room is great but recently they have closed off a large section of the patio for club members only. Restaurant quality of food is ok overall but a bit on the pricey side. Overall it's a lovely resort. "

"The service and the staff were very good. Very professional and attentive. The breakfast was very good. The only problem we had there was a leak in the wall in our bathroom, which they could not fix at the time but brought us enough towels to put behind the toilet to keep it from getting wet all over the bathroom. We were given a refund by Hotels.com for one of our nights. Overall, the hotel could definitely use a little TLC. It’s obviously an older hotel. Would I stay there again yes because of the staff, the breakfast and the pool area. "

Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk, San Diego Area

"Took a trip to San Deigo to visit to Sea World, and the zoo with grandkids. Didn't want to be around the population.This place was beautiful, like a star 5 hotel. Would stay here again. I had amazon send me a wagon and cooler that was a mess at trying to get found when I needed them. We left the wagon for facilty to use but, never heard if it was claimed. Maid hopefully turned in. I would stay here again. Lots to do. again.again.staycwaround "

Great location!

"Great stay and great location. Hotel is 1/2 mile from old town so walking is an option. The back side of the hotel is near the freeway but request a room on the (front) city street side as opposed to freeway side so noise was a non issue for us."
