"Excellent location directly opposite the main train station. All major attractions are walkable. All staff were pleasant and efficient. Tea & coffee making and biscuits were great. A modern bathroom with excellent water pressure. Howe er the bed was a double bed with an uncomfortable old fashioned mattress. The restaurant was limited in its ability to handle all residents staying at the hotel. For example registering at 3 pm resulted in breakfast the following day being already booked out. Going...

"Lovely old hotel in the midst of a major renovation. We were booked into a newly renovated room which was nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. There was some noise from renovations on weekdays but it was not particularly bothersome. The location is great - essentially equidistant between the Abbey and Roman Baths and the Circus and Royal Crescent. Buffet breakfast was very good and staff was inviting and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel. "

"A beautiful spot & wonderful kind staff The room was very comfortable,spacious & clean. Right next to lots of trees & beautiful birds The staff are really wonderful & helpful Great spot to stay in for Bristol, right next to bus stops when needed & a lovely walk through Clifton As it’s a listed building they don’t have a lift, so there’s a lot of stairs. It wasn’t an issue for me but they do offer help with luggage or maybe you can request a lower floor room. Was a perfect spot for me to...
