"Staff was great"

"We chose this hotel specifically for the outdoor space. It was very disappointing. The ground, all furniture and umbrellas etc was in disrepair and dirty. "

"The property is nice, particularly the lobby with it's sitting room, billard room, cafe/bar and open art gallery. However, the heat was not working in the lobby so no one really hung out in the bar area and the staff had portable space heaters scattered around. The room was nice, a bit smaller than usual but it's an older building so somewhat expected. Two things that were not great though was the lack of water pressure and the sheer, see-through curtains with bright streetlights outside."

"We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience."
