"We had a wonderful week in Trémolat. The gîte was just on the edge of the village - a 2 minute walk to the boulangerie in the mornings. Lovely quiet location. Amazing pool! Lots of pool volley ball played by our family. Gîte was very well equipped. "We thought this place was wonderful. The living/dining room was well appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed. There is a balcony looking over the ruins of the nunnery and the town. Bed and bath were very nice, and I appreciated the washer. Caroline was helpful, and brought peaches from her garden: delicious. One caveat: 2nd floor means "climb 2 long flights of stairs"."

"We were expecting difficulty in finding this property, deep in the Dordogne, but Google maps came up trumps. The time taken to reach it after the main roads ran out was, however, a small problem. "Splendid apartment in a decent location. The apartment block was very quiet. The style was unique as you can see from the photos, but very comfortable. Electric shutters all round made nights sufficiently dark and quiet. Ginette & Claude were lovely and extremely helpful, going above and beyond in explaining everything about the apartment and general area. We managed to get through the communication problems caused by my poor French."

"The house has a fantastic pool and pool area and dining area which we all enjoyed spending a lot of time in. However, the area had a lot of mosquitoes which were problematic at night time. The listing did not say the neighbouring house had two dogs (although very lovely and friendly) which were often in the garden and we had to remove their mess a few times which wasn’t very nice. The wifi did not work throughout the house - only in the living room. We also had a problem with a bat in the attic...

"La p'tite bergerie is a beautiful gite, and has everything you need to make your stay homely and comfortable. It is set in an absolutely lovely area, very peaceful and relaxing, but is ideally located to many other towns, villages and sights this part of the Dordogne has to offer. Beatrice and Remy are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them, we really felt a friendship has been formed, so much so that we will be returning in December to enjoy their gite at Christmas time...can't wait!...
