"Nice hotel near downtown Ventura and the beach. Valet parking, at a reasonable price. Easily walkable to downtown and the beach, as well as the boardwalk. Several restaurants nearby. Downside - barn door for the bathroom, so your partner can hear and smell everything going on inside and the light wakes up your partner at night. Please hotels! Stop using the barndoor set up for the bathrooms."

"When we arrived to check in our room was not ready. I was told upon check in that they would call when our room which was ready, the hotel never did. The staff upon checknin were not friendly at all and acted thatcwe were an inconvenience. Upon leaving to go have dinner and some errans, we came back to hotel around 8 pm and our room was ready. "My husband and I stayed overnight here for the Ventura marathon. While the hotel is undergoing construction (there was absolutely no noise), the outside may not look like much, but the room was just a delight! Absolutely spotless, and more space that it seems at first. It's beautifully decorated and everything was really comfortable and well thought out. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we'll definitely go back again! Plus, the manager at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. "
