"Extremely clean, parking was very convenient, walkable to Lake Placid dining/shopping and the foyer/bathroom floors had radiant heat. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to other people. "

"We loved the free access to Netflix! Room was clean and enjoyable. Only negative is Check in time was a bit late in the day, so you feel like you’re not really getting to stay very long. But we enjoyed the town and our time here"

"Fantastic old school motel updated with modern conveniences. Everything was clean, sheets were fresh and the log cabin furniture fit the vibe. Self check-in was easy and hassle free. Only negative about the stay was the lack of hot water but it was far outweighed by the rest of the experience."

"We were in the area for a ski competition and have truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We felt totally at home. The room was clean and decorated nicely. The room had a great entrance with a cubby for ski gear and bags as well as a boot tray for wet shoes. The breakfast was deliciously homemade. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was so good it felt like we had a home cooked meal. "

"The check in and check out process is very unorthodox but extremely easy and simple. I was a little worried when I went into the office/welcome room to get the key because it smells like cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. You can tell they are updated rooms and look exactly like the pictures shown. They even have that fresh wood smell which makes the room feel like you’re in a cabin and not just a room. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "

"This was a really nice little place to stay. It's basically a small apartment with all the amenities it has. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything i needed. The only negative thing i could say, which is no fault of the property owners, is that there is no cellular service."

"Quaint little motel 5 mins from Whiteface mountain. Very friendly and responsive staff. Room was clean, warm, quiet, and very affordable. Perfect place to stay while skiing or mountain biking in the area."

"Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain! "

"My husband, daughter and I stayed one night to be close to the Olympic Center where my daughter was competing in an ice skating competition the following morning. The room was small but very comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. The service was great. "

"This was our second time staying at the Grand Jay Lodge. It’s a cozy log cabin, with great amenities (hot tub, sauna, air fryer, two laundry rooms). We went with friends last year, and brought the family this year. It’s centrally located between Lake Placid and Keene Valley. Excellent location for trips into town, or to hit a hike out of Adk Log or Keene. The host is very responsive and kind. We’ll be back for a 3rd year! "

"This place was perfect for our ski and snowboard trip to Whiteface. Close to the mountain for us to get in early. We used each room and all my friends were very comfortable. Even the two adult men that had to share the small cabin had no complaints. The sauna and hot tub were perfect for us to recover our exhausted bodies from full day of shredding the mountain. "This house was excellent for our big group. It was very well equipped and had everything we could possibly need. Everyone had a great time and especially enjoyed the two jacuzzis! The owners/property managers were super responsive. We will definitely be back!"
