"This is a very special property built as a place to enjoy the mild winter and dry air of Tucson. The rooms and grounds are meticulously maintained. The interior public spaces are grand, furnished with antique furniture built on site. The high standards for maintenance and the quality of the staff make this place as good as it ever was. On site amenities as good as can be found anywhere. "

"Loved this place! We stayed here while riding in El Tour de Tucson. So close to the start/finish at the Conv Ctr and downtown restaurants. Cool lounge and courtyard, live music Sat night. Bathroom was bright, all amenities needed (shampoo, cond, body wash, lotion, make up wipe). Room had fridge, microwave. Loved the retro/old...

The glass globes around the pool were broken or missing. There is only one desk person on and they have to drive the van to the airport. The can one side is smashed in. Apparently new owners took over 1 1/2 years ago and clearly not keeping it up. Several hotels in the area were closed or rundown. Close to airport....
